Create a group chat in Microsoft Teams

  • With Microsoft Teams is easy to start your own group chat, including a large number of participants. Space. space

  • Group chat helps you to be more efficient by connecting you and your colleagues.

Start creating a group chat

1. Start by selecting New Chat button.

2. In the To field, enter the names, phone numbers or email addresses of the people you want to include.

3. Enter the name of your new chat group by selecting the down arrow (top-right side). 

4.  Type the name of your group into the Group name field.

5. Now start composing a message in the box at the bottom of the chat to finish creating your chat group.

Add people to your group chat

  • The view and add participants function helps you to view the participant list, add or remove people from your group.

1. To add more people into the conversation, select View and add participants button (top right corner) -> then, select Add people button.

2. Then type the names of the people you would like to include in your group chat -> and select Add button.

*you can also choose how much of the chat history to include
